This website wants to function as a source of information about a few well-known English writers from the Renaissance, William Shakespeare for instance. This website also gives you info on the plays, poetry and other literary texts from this period. And it wants to help you in studying these texts. To make it easier for you, literary terms are explained and there is a glossary in which difficult words are translated into Dutch. You’ll find extra internet sources for each writer or subject. And, to give you a better idea of life in the Renaissance, there are some topics on historical stuff, for example the English monarchy.
